Hucclecote A have won the county Under-14 netball league, remaining unbeaten after the last round of matches at Bentham Country Club.
They faced rivals Old Chelts A and Stroud Hornets who finished second and third respectively.
Old Chelts found it difficult to break down the Hucclecote defence, who performed magnificently with a series of key interceptions.
Several of the Hucclecote squad had also played in the Regional Schools tournament in Bournemouth the previous day, representing Chosen Hill School.
This saw them tire towards the end of the match, but not before they had managed to run out winners with a score of 9-5.
Old Chelts went on to win their other matches comfortably against Challengers, Cirencester and Stroud Stingers to finish as runners-up.
For the first time Stroud have three teams in the Under-14 age group, with Hornets finishing in third place, despite fielding a squad that had been depleted due to sickness and injuries.
Hucclecote, Old Chelts and Stroud have now qualified for the South West Regional final qualifiers at Dorcan Academy in Swindon on Sunday, March 10.
In the Under-13 age group, Hucclecote and Old Chelts are currently tied on 30 points each, with Hucclecote having a game in hand.
Randwick Under-12 are currently second in their group, and are close to breaking the stranglehold on the league by teams from Hucclecote and Old Chelts.
The final rounds of the Under-12, Under-13 and Under-16 age groups will be at Bentham on Sunday,  February 24, with an Under-12 and Under-13 tournament planned for Sunday, March 24.
