A BUSY main road has been closed as icy weather once again strikes the travel network.
Gloucestershire Highways shut down the A436 between Seven Springs and Andoversford at 3.50pm due to drifting snow falling on the road.
Gritters will once again be out spreading salt across the county last night.
Temperatures are not expected to climb much above zero this weekend.
There are fears melting snow will cause standing water on many roads, and that this and icy patches will lead to treacherous driving conditions.
A Highways spokesman said staff are constantly monitoring the roads.
