What's your favourite Gloucestershire day out?
Walking over the Cotswolds in springtime to see the wonderful bluebell woods and, in autumn, seeing the splendid colours of the leaves.
And your favourite place to eat out in the county?
Regular visit: The Toby Carvery at Over. Top number: The Edgemoor Inn at Edge.
What's the worst job you've ever had?
I loved being a rural postman and also loved my customers around the Haw Bridge area. In wintertime, however, when there were severe floods and I often had to drive driving along treacherous icy and muddy roads, and finishing late every day was very hard going at times.
Have you got any unusual habits?
I never retire to bed until well past 2am (even when skies are clouded over).
Who is your hero and why?
My late close friend Sir Patrick Moore and Sir David Attenborough.
What book are you reading at the moment or tell us your favourite?
Any astronomy book or varied science readings.
What was the last film you watched?
On big screen, Jurassic Park.
First single/record you ever bought?
The Beatles, Twist and Shout.
