Hucclecote Under-Sevens hosted Painswick in three well-contested games in which they had to work hard as a team to create the space to score tries.
In the first game, Painswick opened the scoring from the kick-off but Hucclecote hit back with a try from Charlie Purdy after a swerving run and then Rowan Masters touched down after a dancing break by Kian Campbell.
Painswick levelled the scores at 10-10 with try before half-time but Campbell spotted a gap just after the break and accelerated through on an angled run to score.
Good tagging by Ethan Cornwell prevented a Painswick reply and Hucclecote finished off with a well worked team try involving Campbell, Max McCahill, Archie Tyreman, Jack Beard and finished off by Ciaran McCarthy for a 20-10 victory.

Painswick kicked off the scoring in the second half but Cornwell then went close after a good break by Jake Clark and then Campbell was tagged with a metre of the line.
Although Cornwell did eventually get over, Painswick responded immediately with a score to lead 10-5 at half-time.
Strong running by McCahill clinched an early second half try but again and although Painswick quickly replied, Masters levelled matters again after a jinking run through the defence.
Hucclecote's defence was then caught napping though as Painswick grabbed two quick tries, and although the hosts had the last word with a try from Purdy, they will know they need to work hard on their tagging before their next matches.

Good  running by Ben Reynolds created the space for McCahill to power through and score early in the third game but some committed play saw Painswick level soon after.
Reynolds then danced through for an impressive individual try for Hucclecote to be ahead at half-time.
Painswick touched down straight from the second half kick-off but then McCahill grabbed another try after Purdy had done the hard work, eluding several would-be defenders.
The visitors quickly hit back with a try before Purdy nipped over for a deserved score, with good support from Morgan Blake.
Tyreman then went close to sealing the success but it was Cornwell who grabbed the final try, and the player of the match honours, after showing great commitment in both attack and defence.

HUCCLECOTE: M. McCahill, J. Beard, B. Reynolds, A. Tyreman, M. Blake, K. Campbell, C. Purdy, J. Clark, E. Cornwell, C. McCarthy, R. Masters.
