FIRE fighters were called to Bishop's Cleeve on Sunday, after a car caught fire.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service were at Pecked Lane, Bishop's Cleeve, around 4.54pm yesterday after a car owner found his engine on fire.
The owner had noticed smoke coming into the car, and lifted the bonnet to find it was on fire.
Five fire fighters from Cheltenham West fire station, together with watch commander Chandler, took 20 minutes to tackle the blaze.
Watch commander Chandler said the owner had a lucky escape.
