LIQUID, Wetherspoon and The Registry are Gloucester's three most troubled nightspots.
In a Freedom of Information request, we discovered which clubs, bars and pubs received the most police callouts between December 2007 and November 2012.
Liquid, in Eastgate Street, topped the chart with 399, while The Regal, at King's Square, came in second some way behind with 180.
In third position was The Registry, in Bruton Way, with 112, closely followed by its predeccessor Innteraction with 99, and TNT, in Eastgate Street, with 96.
Neil Joyner, general manager of The Registry, said: "I would bet that at least half of those incidents are where people have used the building as a landmark. In the past few years here, I have known of only a few incidents.
"I think it is inevitable that the bigger places like Liquid, Wetherspoon and ourselves would have the most incidents anyway purely based on size."
He added: "We don't want to paint a negative picture of Gloucester though, it is a safe place to be.
"There has been a lot of work done recently on CCTV cameras and better lighting and things are going to improve a lot."
There is going to be a £25,000 upgrade to get LED lights installed and the amount of lighting in Eastgate Street is going to be doubled in a bid to reduce crime.
A spokesman for Liquid said: "Liquid is a well-run, professional and secure venue that over 125,000 people enjoy every year.
"It is also the town's key landmark late-night venue and a significant number of callouts are not directly related to the club as well as many of the reported crimes being down to the theft and loss of mobile phones.
"The safety and security of our customers is and always has been our main priority. We have recently invested £20,000 upgrading our CCTV technology and now have 64 cameras both inside and outside the venue."
A police spokesman said: "It isn't fair to think of those pubs or clubs with the highest number of crimes reported as the worst – given the capacity of the big establishments they are more likely to be affected by crime.
"However, we have been doing a lot of work over the years with the major licensed premises in the city to improve the safety of those who go there."
He pointed to more water dispensers, using polycarbonate glasses and taxi marshalling as helping.
Wetherspoon and TNT could not be reached for comment.
