PENSIONER Pam Smith has recreated the nativity scene entirely from wool to show people the real meaning of Christmas.
Mary, Joseph, the three wise men and two shepherds have all been created in the 77-year-old's scene.
Pam, from Whaddon, who has previously knitted herself a chrysanthemum-coloured suit and a full-length black cloak with a hood, has been a knitter for as long as she can recall.
She said she saw how much her great-granddaughter got for Christmas last year and wanted to bring its true spirit back to life.
She said: "To me Christmas is all about the birth of Christ and the nativity scene sums it up."
