A REFORMED hell-raiser from Cheltenham has urged revellers not to go over-the-top with binge drinking during the festive season.
Hayley Lloyd, from Bishop's Cleeve, was notorious for plaguing pubs and clubs in the town with drunken behaviour in her younger years.
The 24-year-old had a long criminal record, which included assault, criminal damage, theft and even assaulting a police officer.
Now she has managed to turn her life around, is in full-time work and has not touched a drink in nearly three years.
She warned people that overdoing the seasonal boozing could have disastrous consequences.
She said: "Christmas is a time when lots of people go out and enjoy a good time.
"But what you don't want to do is let it spill over and end up doing something you regret.
"If you get into a fight you could end up spending Christmas locked up and feeling rubbish."
Hayley is looking forward to spending Christmas with her family this year.
"For me it's all about the family and spending time with my nieces," she added.
"I'll enjoy Christmas time much more now I'm not drinking at all."
