Hopes for a white Christmas have been dashed after a week of rain moved into the county.
A wall of rain hit much of the UK last night and flood warnings have been issued just days before Christmas.
Christmas Day itself is predicted to be mild and unsettled.
But first a weather front today will see Gloucestershire take a batterring from heavy rain and gusty winds.
There will be a small reprieve tomorrow when it will be mainly dry and mild with temperatures at about 10C.
But the weekend outlook is looking bleak. More heavy rain will be moving in and will stay with us throughout Saturday and Sunday, with just a few chances for some drier weather breaking through.
