Cheltenham Town: Young Robins edged out by Spurs

Cheltenham Town U-18s 0 Tottenham Hotspur U-18s 1 Cheltenham Town's youngsters pushed their more illustrious opponents all the way before bowing out of the FA Youth Cup at the Abbey Business Stadium this evening. The only goal of the game was scored by Tottenham Hotspur striker Shaquile Coulthirst in the 29th minute. The highly-rated Coulthirst netted a hat-trick for Spurs away to Barcelona last month, but he was well shackled by the Cheltenham defence thereafter. Cheltenham were indebted to some smart goalkeeping from Dale Reaney in the first half, but cheered on my a healthy crowd of 771 Russell Milton's men edged the second half. Zack Kotwica, one of the heroes of the second round victory at AFC Wimbledon, had the Robins' best chance of the match in the 69th minute after a fine pass from Adam Powell, but Luke McGee made an excellent one-handed block.
