A SCOOTER driver has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a car in Hester's Way.
The driver, a man believed to be from Cheltenham, was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol following the crash in Grevil Road, off Princess Elizabeth Way, just after 1pm.
He was driving a black Piaggio scooter when he collided with a blue Citroen Saxo.
Police closed Princess Elizabeth Way in both directions from the Kingsditch roundabout to Coronation Square, with traffic diverted along Village Way, but the road is now open again.
The Citroen driver was not injured.
