AN AREA surrounding a four storey building in Wotton Under Edge was cordoned off on Friday night due to falling masonry.
Emergency services were called out at around 5.45pm after reports of dangerous debris coming loose from the roof and falling to the ground.
A five-man crew of fire fighters from Wotton Fire Station attended to help secure the building and minimise the risk to the public.
Police cordoned off the road and the area ensuring the safety of the public, and fire crews stood by until the owner of the business arrived at the scene.
Fire crews were in attendance for an hour and half before leaving the incident in the hands of the owner.
