BRIDES can find their dream dress at a fraction of the cost thanks to a new charity shop boutique.
Cotswold Care Hospice has opened a bridal and luxury clothing boutique at its shop in Kendrick Street Stroud.
It includes a range of bridal gowns, many of which are unworn, and outfits for the entire bridal party.
There are also a range of vintage clothing, evening wear and dinner jackets and suits for men.
The boutique officially opened on Stroud's goodwill evening.
"I want all our brides and customers to enjoy the experience of visiting our upstairs boutique," said Karen Egan. "We want them to have the best service ever."
Karen and her team of volunteers worked flat out to convert the upstairs area about the charity shop into the boutique.
The collection includes an original Lyn Ashworth bridal gown, which has never been worn, vintage Christian Lacroix, and a range of black tie dinner jackets and trousers.
All proceeds from the sales will go to Cotswold Care Hospice.
The shop is also working with nearby traders including Kendrick Street Deli, Cotswolds Vintage Party Hire and JKC Complete Finishing Touch Hair Salon to offer a complete service.
"There is no one else in the area doing what we are doing," said Karen. "People often think of charity shops as not being private. We have a lovely private space that people can book and enjoy their experience."
Cotswold Care Hospice is also appealing for donations of wedding dresses and fine clothes.
The boutique is open by appointment only. Contact the shop on 01453 768 876 for further details.
