POLICE are appealing for information after a 33-year-old man returned home with injuries, and memory loss.
A 33-year-old man from Cheltenham had been at a party on Thirlstaine Road, and walked home between 11pm on Monday and 12.15am on Tuesday.
The man returned home and found he had cuts and bruises to his face, head neck, arms and knees.
He did not remember the journey home along Bath Road and Exmouth Street.
The man went to Cheltenham General Hospital for treatment for his injuries.
Police believe he may have been assaulted, or possibly knocked unconscious on his journey home.
They are asking for anyone who may have seen the man or an assault on any of those roads late on Monday into the early hours on Tuesday.
Alexa Collicott, media and communications officer at Gloucestershire Constabulary, said: "We believe the injuries may have been caused by an assault.
"We are encouraging anyone with information to contact the police as soon as they can.
