What a night we have to welcome in the New Year in Cheltenham.
You may have your plans for New Year's Eve, but it's January 7 that you should be putting in your diary.
The hottest tickets in town will be for Cheltenham Town's third round FA Cup tie against Everton. It's the sort of game the competiton is famous for - League Two Robins against Premier League giants who will believe they have a very real chance of actually winning the tournament this year.
Even the most ardent Robins fan won't be dreaming of that, but let's not rule them out in a one-off game.
Already chairman Paul Baker is being told to "enjoy the night". But he should - and will - want more than that.
Yes, Everton's team will be packed with stars, from big-haired Belgian Marouane Fellaini to England internationals Leighton Baines and Leon Osman to hit striker Nikica Jelavic.
But there's a reason ESPN is bringing its cameras to Whaddon Road. They want to show their viewers an FA Cup upset.
Bradford City are three points behind Cheltenham in League Two and had a famous Capital One Cup victory against Arsenal last night. You may think Everton are having a better season than Arsenal, but they are just two points ahead of them in the Premier League.
So why not? It was great to hear the "Cheltenhamshire" song booming out across Hereford last night. Time to take it to a national stage.
