A cold weather alert is still in place for Gloucestershire as the bitter weather continues to bite.
The county will be dry with sunny spells in many areas but it will remain cold with icy patches, with a minimum overnight temperature of -6 Degrees Celsius.
The Met Office's regional forecast says there are likely to be wintry showers across the east giving a slight covering of snow this morning. It is expected to become increasingly sunny throughout the day, with maximum temperatures of six Degrees Celsius.
Tonight will be largely dry with clear spells overnight, but isolated showers in the west. Winds will ease and become light. It will be very cold with a widespread frost and icy patches.
The cold weather alert will be lifted at around midday but it is expected to remain chilly, but dry, for the next five days.
