POWERFUL defender Durrell Berry has completed his move to Cheltenham Town and Portuguese winger Adriano Moke is poised to join him at Whaddon Road.
As reported by the Gloucestershire Echo on Monday a deal to sign right-back Berry was agreed late last week, but it was delayed by the Robins having to make a seven-day approach to former club Torquay United.
The 22-year-old has been playing on non-contract terms with the Gulls, joining them in October after failing to agree a new deal with Plymouth Argyle, where he had spent the previous three years.
A former Aston Villa trainee, Berry was signed by then Pilgrims boss Peter Reid in 2011 before going on to make more than 100 first team appearances at Home Park.
His proven League Two pedigree meant that the deal was a no-brainer for Robins boss Paul Buckle, who has agreed a deal to sign Berry until the end of the season.
"When I heard he was available it was the perfect opportunity," Buckle said.
"He is a good size and a good age, a great one against one defender and good going forward as well.
"He is ideal for now and in the future and hopefully we can agree something longer-term with him."
Winger Moke was in a similar position as Berry, having joined Vanarama Conference club Macclesfield Town on a short-term contract at the start of the season.
The 24-year-old former Nottingham Forest trainee has been earning rave reviews for his displays down the right flank as the Silkmen rose to second in the Conference table.
A graduate of the Glenn Hoddle Academy, Moke has also played for York City, where he helped the Minstermen secure promotion back to the Football League as well as win the FA Trophy.
Spells at Cambridge United, Tamworth and Stockport County followed before he linked up with the Silkmen in the summer.
The arrivals of Berry and Moke mean that there is likely to be one more permanent addition to the Robins squad ahead of Monday's transfer deadline.
Buckle revealed yesterday that he had "positive talks" with Liverpool academy boss Alex Inglethorpe about extending the deals of loan trio Jack Dunn, Lloyd Jones and Kevin Stewart.
The deal to sign Moke will not affect the decision to extend the loan of Crystal Palace winger Jack Gray, who made an encouraging debut in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Luton Town, creating the Robins' goal.
The one other addition is almost certain to be a powerful striker, with Buckle and head of recruitment John Milton scouring the market for available players.
Their task was given a huge boost on Tuesday evening when Byron Harrison agreed his switch to Chesterfield on an 18-month contract.
One of the highest earners in the Robins squad, Harrison's departure freed up a decent chunk of the budget that until last week and the departures of Paul Black and Andy Haworth was maxed-out.
Black has now agreed his move to NASL club Atlanta Silverbacks, while Haworth joined Conference North title challengers Barrow on a loan deal until the end of the season last week.
