CALLING all boys. With only a week to go, the Mr Gloucester competition is on the look out for a new winner.
While there are plenty of girls for the sister Miss Gloucester competition, more boys are needed to compete in Mr Gloucester.
Both annual events will still take place at The Registry on January 29.
Organiser Lise Noakes, deputy mayor and sheriff of Gloucester said: "We have had a few people enter but we are appealing for more boys to come forward and not be shy.
"There are many great prizes available and it is fun too. Mr Gloucester will be able to take part in many events like Juliette Crosby, who is Miss Gloucester. She had a ride on a float at the Gloucester Carnival. The winner will also get the chance to take part in the Style Festival in November.
"It is not like the old fashioned days, when it was about beauty, it is much more than that. Mr and Miss Gloucester are great ambassadors for the city. Juliette has raised a lot of money for charity. So come on boys don't be shy."
Last year's winners were Juliette Crosby and Aaron Boon. To enter Mr Gloucester email miss gloucester2014@outlook.com.
