An elderly woman in her 80s has had money stolen from her house while she was in the property.
Police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to identify following the burglary at a house in Hereford, in which thieves stole money from the woman's home.
The burglary is similar in nature to offences carried out in the Redmarley area of Gloucestershire in 2008 and 2009 and police believe they may be linked.
Two men were captured on camera inside the property in the Hunderton area of the city, which is believed to have been entered via an insecure door or window on Monday, October 8 between 12pm and 5pm.
After the men had left, it was discovered that a quantity of cash had been stolen from the property.
Det Sgt Tim Dugmore is in charge of the investigation into the burglary. He said: "The victim – a woman in her 80s – was present during the incident. No one her age should have to experience such a thing.
"Unfortunately, this is not the first time this woman has been a victim of crime and that is why we installed a camera inside her house, which has allowed us to capture this footage.
"We need to identify the men in the CCTV images in order to establish what they were doing inside the house and see if they know anything about the stolen money.
"If you know who they are, or recognise yourself as either of the men in the images, then please call us as soon as possible."
Anyone with information about the Hunderton burglary can call police on 0300 333 3000, quoting 537S 081012 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
