A MAN accused of defacing a historic site will appear in court.
Lee Edwards, 19, of Matson Lane, Gloucester, has been charged with causing criminal damage by spraying paint on Greyfriars monastery. It was built in 1518, though the site as a monastery dates back to 1231.
The monastery is alleged to have been defaced in June this year.
Edwards was bailed to appear before Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on January 18.
