A MAN was rescued following a third floor flat fire in Princess Elizabeth Way last night.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said the resident was injured and needed urgent medical attention following the fire at Edward Wilson House.
Firefighters were called out to Edward Wilson House at 10.30pm on Saturday night.
Gloucestershire Police inspector Joe Tierney said lots of smoke was caused following a cooking accident.
He said: "A male had a fall and suffered minor injuries and the cooking accident was consequential to that."
