Cool Runnings – BBC Two, 11.30am
This comedy tells the true story of how Derice Bannock, a Jamaican sprinter who fails to qualify for the Olympics, formed his country's first bobsleigh team and set out to win at the Games.
Singin' in the Rain – BBC Two, 1.50pm
Gene Kelly stars in this iconic musical as Don Lockwood who has risen to fame with Lina Lamont, but when he becomes enchanted by a young studio singer he has her fired. But when Lockwood's own career faces troubles of its own the studio comes up with a very clever solution.
Still Open All Hours – BBC One, 6.25pm
After last year's successful pilot, David Jason returns as Granville in a brand new series of Still Open Ronnie's beloved sitcom.
In the first episode it's Valentine's Day and Granville is forced to take extra security precautions resulting in problems with a new money belt. Meanwhile regular customer Eric suffers from a curious injury and love is in the air for Madge.
The Boy in the Dress – BBC One, 6.55pm
Jennifer Saunders and Billy Kennedy star in this adaptation of David Walliam's best selling children's book of the same name.
Birds of a Feather – ITV, 9pm
The revived outing of Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran's hit sitcom begins its second series with a festive special.
The pirates! In an adventure with scientists! - BBC One, 4.40pm
Animated comedy adventure from Aardman Animations, featuring the voices of Hugh Grant, David Tennant and Martin Freeman. Pirate Captain may be the leader of a shambolic crew of buccaneers but he's still determined to win the coveted Pirate of the Year competition, even if it means fighting off fearsome rivals Black Bellamy, Peg-Leg Hastings and Cutlass Liz to see who can amass the most booty.
The Big Fat Quiz of the Year - Channel 4, 9pm
Jimmy Carr tests a panel of celebrities to see who knows the most about the past 12 months.
