A sickness bug has swept through a Forest of Dean school, meaning it will close until Monday.
St John's C of E Academy, in Bowens Hill Road, Coleford, will give its pupils tomorrow off to help recover.
Headteacher Jan Wagstaff said: "We've had a horrible bug going round the school the past couple of days - about 20 per cent of our pupil have been off.
"No staff are affected but we decided it would be better to give everyone three clear days to try and get better and come back on Monday."
The school's Christmas Fair, due to take place tomorrow, has been postponed for a week.
