Appeal over fake police robbery in Gloucester

Police are appealing for information into a robbery in Gloucester

The incident happened on Berkeley Street in the city between 4.40pm and 4.45pm on Sunday December 02.

The male victim was walking along Berkeley Street when he was approached by two men who told him that they were CID officers and then searched his clothes. The offenders then took a black Mojo phone from his pocket and ran off towards Westgate Street.

The first suspect is described as white, male, aged 30-35, around 5ft 11ins tall and of slim build. He was wearing jeans and a grey top. The second suspect is described as white, male aged 25-30, around 5ft 2ins of larger build than the first man wearing jeans with a grey hood up.

A 28 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and bailed to attend Gloucester Police Station on January 10, pending further inquiries

Anyone with information that could help the investigation should call police on 101 quoting incident 280 of December 02.
