FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue a man from his car after a crash in Standish yesterday evening.
Two crews from Stroud station were called to Gloucester Road just after 7.30pm and 12 firefighters spent around 30 minutes cutting the man from his vehicle.
A Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Details from the crew are that one male person was extricated by the service and has been taken to hospital by Great Western Ambulance service."
