The final search is on for two 'outstanding' citizens to be recognised by the City Council for their contribution to local life.
The annual awards aim to recognise the achievements of both young people and adults in the City, the closing date for this year's competition has been extended, but the November 30th deadline is rapidly approaching.
To be considered the nominees must have made an 'outstanding' contribution in the areas of caring, business, sport, the environment, public service or as a good neighbour.
Young people – below the age of 18 – can be nominated for demonstrating an act of bravery, working for the benefit of the community or having overcome a personal challenge.
The Mayor, Councillor David Brown, commented: "I urge those in the community to think about the individuals who do things for them and put them forward for an award.
"There are so many great people across the City who work tirelessly and selflessly for others and taking just a few minutes to send through a nomination can mean a great amount.
"I am looking forward to sitting down with the judges and going through the nominations. I know it will be a hard but rewarding experience for us all."
