SEDGLEY PARK 29 CINDERFORD 39 TOM Bozzard's hat-trick helped Cinderford banish memories of their first home defeat for nearly a year following a bonus-point road win. The hurting Foresters responded perfectly to last week's sloppy loss against Blaydon with their second away success of the season to keep in touch with the National One top four. Two consecutive defeats had begun to derail the Dockham Road side's early momentum but the five-try victory will feel even better with an afternoon off next Saturday. The home side began proceedings with a try from full-back Andrew Riley after eight minutes which was converted by fly-half Tom Carlisle who improved further with a penalty nine minutes later. The visitors answered with prop Joe Smart, switched to the tight head side for the injured Tom Heard, going over with fly-half Mark Davies converting and levelling with a penalty on half hour. Hooker Bozzard then got the first of his three scores not long before the break with Davies off target but the stand-off found form moments later with a penalty to edge 18-10 ahead at half-time. The Tigers blasted out of the blocks at the start of the second half and pulled within three following Riley's second try which was not improved by Carlisle two minutes in. But the Cinderford front row demolition continued when Bozzard went over for his second try and Davies' kick pulled ten clear on 48 minutes. Park kept in touch with their third score from number eight Juan Crous on 55 minutes, which was converted by Carlisle, to close to within three again. But Cinderford number eight George Evans made a great impact from the replacements bench by grabbing the all-important fourth for a bonus on 57 minutes with Davies restoring the ten-point margin. Bozzard then got his third and his team's fifth on 65 minutes with Davies once again splitting the posts before Crous got a consolation at the death for a point of their own with replacement Steve Collins converting.
