Gloucestershire Constabulary is continuing to investigate the death of a woman yesterday, following an incident at Wotton Lawn Hospital.
A 60 year old man is still being questioned by police on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Magistrates have authorised a further 36 hours for police to question a 60 year old man under arrest in relation to the police investigation, and to secure and preserve further evidence
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Steve Porter said: ""The family are extremely distressed at the tragic loss of their loved one and have asked for some privacy and time to grieve during this difficult period."
