STAFF at the Comet store at St Oswald's Retail Park, Gloucester, have been told it will close its doors for the last time on Monday.
The shop, which employs 27 people, is one of between 30 and 40 of the chain's branches preparing to close before the end of the month.
Stores which do not close this month are expected to continue trading over Christmas.
The firm went into administration earlier this month and Neville Kahn, joint administrator, said: "We are in discussions with a number of parties who have expressed interest in parts of the business and we continue to work hard to preserve jobs."
Comet's administration comes just months after it was taken over by investment firm OpCapita, which bought the chain for a nominal £2 in February.
Angry staff at the stricken electricals chain have called for ministers to investigate the retailer's collapse and the way its former private equity owners ran the company.
The future of Comet's stores in Metz Way, Gloucester, and Tewkesbury Road, Cheltenham, remains uncertain.
