A FIRE engulfed a flat in Tewkesbury with smoke last night.
A total of 11 fire fighters from two crews, both from Tewkesbury station, attended the home in Tolsey Lane shortly before 8.45pm.
The ground floor of the flat was filled with thick smoke and due to the amount of smoke a third pump was called for from Cheltenham West station.
Six breathing apparatus, a jet and a hose reel were used to extinguish the flames and clear the smoke.
Fortunately the flat was empty at the time of the fire and nobody was hurt.
