Nearly 1,000 people will be walking through Hollie Gazzard's home parish, in memory of the popular Gloucester hairdresser. The route for the walk taking place later this month will go from the King Teddy Pub, where she worked in Longlevens, through Churchdown and finish at Lansdown Crescent in Cheltenham. Pretty Hollie was killed while she worked in Fringe Benefits and La Bella Beauty salon in February. Her brave family are in the process of setting up a charitable trust in her memory and the walk on Sunday, April 27 will be its first major fundraiser. More than 900 people have pledged to take part in the walk going down Old Cheltenham Road, which will pay for training for aspiring Gloucester hairdressers and contribute to other charities. T-shirts are now available for the walk, featuring the stylish 20-year-old on the front and the 'Hollie Gazzard Charity Trust' with the date and route on the back. The Print Room in Quedgeley is providing the T-shirts for £5 with £1.50 profit from each sale going to the trust. Gary Jackson, 28, from Hempsted, has run the company for nine months. He said: "When I found out what had happened to Hollie - I just thought it was so bad. So when someone asked me to help, I just couldn't say no. "We sold 22 T-shirts within a few hours and so I think they are going to be really popular. "Her friends, some from the salon, talked to me about the design and are really happy with it. "Hopefully we will sell quite a few because the more we sell the more the charity will benefit, but they are going well so far." Crowds will be gathering at the King Teddy from 11am on the day of the walk where there will be stalls with cakes and face painting before the walk at midday. At Hollie's Gloucester Cathedral funeral last month, around 800 people heard her granddad pay loving tribute to the "brightest, most vivacious and most beautiful young woman". But her brokenhearted family, including dad Nick, mum Mandy and sister Chloe, want to help others in Hollie's memory. Generous donors are already pledging cash to the trust in the former Chosen Hill schoolgirl's name. Justin Hudson, who owns Butler's bar, in Eastgate Street, has already pledged £1,000 as Hollie was a popular face in the city and well known in the bar. Staff at Zest, also in Eastgate Street, where Hollie previously worked behind the bar, have also stumped up £500 and hundreds more has been raised by ongoing collections at weekends since her death. Gloucester charity, Increase the Peace, is also hosting a fun day in memory of Hollie and Martin Stokes, who was allegedly stabbed in January and died a week later. The charity, working alongside Hollie's family, wants to see an end to knife crime in the city. The free fun day will be taking place at Coney Hill Rugby Club on Sunday from noon to 4pm.
