POLICE have promised to continue cracking down on illegal drugs activities in Tewkesbury.
It follows the arrest of two people in the town on Friday on suspicion of committing drugs offences.
Officers stopped a man in Grange Road, Northway and seized approximately two ounces of cannabis. A 22-year-old from Tewkesbury was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B drug.
Police then searched a home in Grange Road and one in Queen's Road, Prior's Park.
Between three and four ounces of cannabis were seized in Grange Road, along with cash and mobile phones. A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B drug.
A further ounce of the drug was seized in Queen's Road.
Both men have been released on police bail until January 30, pending further inquiries.
PC Matt Rollason said: "We will continue to disrupt all activities involving drugs within the Tewkesbury Local Policing Area, acting on information we receive from the public as well as conducting proactive patrols to tackle these crimes."
