POLICE are hunting a motorist who failed to stop after crashing into a pedestrian late last night.
The 21-year-old victim was knocked down on the B4068 heading out of Stow-on-the Wold, close to the cricket pavilion, just before midnight.
Officers believe a dark coloured 4x4 type vehicle, possibly a Land Rover, hit the man before driving off into Stow.
The victim, who is from Stow, was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.
He has since been transferred to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol and is said to be in a stable condition.
Officers are investigating and appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have seen the vehicle in question to come forward.
