Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford: Everything you need to know

The skies over Gloucestershire will be filled with the roaring sound of super aircraft this weekend for the Royal International Tattoo at RAF Fairford. The spectacular airshow is one of the highlights in the county calendar and with a forecast for beautiful weather it is sure to be a superb event this year. Featuring more than 200 incredible aircraft from around the globe and a massive seven-and-a-half hour flying display, few outdoor events can rival the Royal International Air Tattoo for a sheer jaw-dropping spectacle - and under-16s get in for free. From 21st century fast jet demos courtesy of the Typhoon, Mig-29, Rafale, F-16 and Gripen to historic warbirds such as the Vulcan bomber, the Lancaster and the Spitfire, visitors will be able to enjoy unrivalled aerial action at RAF Fairford in the Cotswolds on July 20-21. Also taking part will be some of the world's greatest aerobatic display teams including the Italian Frecce Tricolori, the barnstorming Breitling Wingwalkers and, of course, the legendary RAF Red Arrows.
