Royal watchers will be out in force at the Royal International Air Tattoo this weekend hoping that a certain Capt Wales will be among the crew in the Army Air Corps Attack Helicopter Display Team.
Last month, Captain Wales - better known as Prince Harry - made his air display debut as co-pilot/gunner in the front seat of an Apache AH1 at the RAF Cosford Air Show.
Now, Air Tattoo organisers are keeping their fingers crossed that he will make an appearance at RAF Fairford in the Cotswolds on July 20-21 though they say they will not know until the day whether he will be taking part in the flying display.
Air Tattoo Chief Executive Tim Prince said that whilst the Apache's dynamic display would always be one of the highlights of the airshow's flying programme, Prince Harry's participation would be "the icing on the cake".
Mr Prince said: "It's great that Prince Harry has been given the opportunity to be among the pool of suitably qualified aircrew and ground crew from which the display teams are chosen for different events on the UK airshow calendar.
"Whether Prince Harry turns up or not, the Air Tattoo audience will be able to enjoy a fantastic demonstration of the extreme manoeuvrability and agility of this Army Air Corps battlefield helicopter."
If Prince Harry does take part in the flying display, it won't be his first trip to the Air Tattoo. He and his brother Prince William attended in 1991 when they were aged four and six.
