What really happens in a museum after the doors close to the general public?
Visitors brave enough to find out are being given the chance to visit Gloucester City Museum and Art Gallery this weekend, on their 'after hours' open evening.
And for the fearless it will include the chance to experience the Transmutation II exhibition and hear a talk by the artist herself – Michaela Bayley.
It takes place on Saturday July 20 from 6 .00 – 8.00pm. Museum members get in free and normal entrance charges apply of £3 adults and concessions £2 (over 60s and children aged 5-17), under 5s free.
Council Leader, Paul James, commented: " People often wonder if museum exhibits move after the doors close. Well, with the Transmutation exhibition you just never know.
We'd like to issue a challenge for visitors to come and see if they are brave enough.
" For everyone else it really is a chance to wander around the main museum and just get a feel for the wonderful history and the many stories that Gloucester has to tell."
