Guide to Gloucester Quays Food Festival 2013

Take a handful of live entertainment, add a large amount of celebrity cookery demos and blend with over a hundred market stalls. Stir in kids' activities and add a pinch of sunshine and your Gloucester Quays Food Festival is ready. Running from July 19-21, the festival is the place to be for food, drink and festival lovers alike. Situated at the Gloucester Quays with the outlet's car parking facilities at £2-£10, this free to enter festival has expanded over the years. With so much to see and do, here is our guide to getting the most out of the three days: Celebrity Appearances include James Martin, Mary Bery and Gino D'Acampo: The celebrity cookery shows are set to sell out quickly. For £7 a ticket you get to watch the cookery demo and a free book signing in the outlet centre at 3pm. Tickets can be bought online at Gloucesterquaysfoodfestival.co.uk , at the Customer Services Desk at Gloucester Quays or, if you've left it late, by calling 01452 338933. Friday July 19: Kicking off the festival, Mary Berry will be making her debut appearance. With the success of The Great British Bake Off and her best-selling cookbooks, she will be carrying out two 45 minute demonstrations at 10.30am and 1.30pm. Her latest summer recipes can be found on Maryberry.co.uk From noon, there will also be free demos from rugby legend Phil Vickery and Cotswold chef Rob Fees to tickle your tastebuds. David Kelman will be putting his skills on show at 3pm, focusing on delicious desserts. Saturday, July 20: Saturday brings the cheeky Gino D'Acampo to the fest with Italian dishes and charm to match. Cooking on stage and interacting with the audience, Gino's two dish demo will have you laughing and learning. With a 45 minute demonstration at 10.30am and 1.30pm, there will also be a 4.30pm appearance where he'll be chatting with the audience about his food career. Catch him online @Ginofantastico or Ginodacampo.co.uk Masterchef finalist Stacie Stewart's free demo at noon and 3pm will have her cooking dishes on stage in her own entertaining way. Sunday July 21: TV cookery sensation James Martin will be doing a range of demos with lots of audience participation promised by the popular Saturday Kitchen chef. James will be carrying out 45 minute demonstrations at 10.30am and 1.30pm. Music: Live bands on the Village Green Music Stage will be from 11am. Take a stroll through the stalls, bring your food to the lawn and enjoy jazz, blues, rock, soul, acoustic, R 'n' B and folk throughout the weekend. Listings of bands can be found on the website. Kids' Little Lawn: Open all weekend there will be free Punch and Judy Shows, jewellery making and a cookery school (aged 3+).The Kids' Little Lawn will get your little ones mixing, creating and learning nutrition and with plenty of ice cream on the scene, it's the perfect kids' spot. Stalls: With a stall to satisfy every food craving you can imagine, there is plenty to taste and take away.
