A CYCLIST remains in a critical condition after being run over by a truck yesterday afternoon.
The 56-year-old cyclist collided with a tipper truck at the roundabout junction of Lansdown Road and Montpellier Walk at around 4pm.
A police officer at the scene said the cyclist was knocked off his bike and run over.
After being treated at the scene by paramedics, the cyclist was rushed to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with injuries to his legs, hips and pelvis.
He has since been moved to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
The driver of the lorry, which is registered to a man from Tewkesbury, was not injured.
Gloucestershire police cordoned off part of Montpellier Walk and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
