What's your favourite Gloucestershire day out?
It has to be the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March.
And your favourite place to eat out in the county?
I don't live to eat, but eat to live, however I do enjoy The Wild Duck at Ewen.
What's the worst job you've ever had?
Having always worked in the family farming business I found milking cows on Christmas Day a bit irritating, as everyone else seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Have you got any unusual habits?
I don't think I do!
Who is your hero and why?
Abraham Lincoln – he was a tall country-born person who became involved in politics. Unfortunately his tenure in office ended in his assassination, but I do think he tried to do the right things.
What book are you reading at the moment or tell us your favourite?
Currently between books, but I am hoping to read The King's Deception by Steve Berry when it becomes available. A story about a boy from Bisley being substituted for Queen Elizabeth I – will it be fascinating or just a conspiracy theory?
What was the last film you watched?
I think it was Les Miserables – I wanted to see Lincoln.
First single/record you ever bought?
Magic Moments by Perry Como – but it was a long time ago!
