The Pyramid Stage is set, the food stalls ready and the 'long drop' toilets in place - Glastonbury 2013 is upon us.
Whether it's your first festival or you're a seasoned Glastonbury guest, check out our survival guide before setting of for a weekend under canvas: Check what you've packed
Getting halfway to the festival before realising you've forgotten to bring the tent or your ticket isn't the best way to start the weekend. Check you have everything you need by following our list of what to pack.
But remember, take nothing you can't afford to lose. Location, location, location
Where you set up shop for the weekend is vital. Camp too close to the toilets and you'll have to suffer the gradually worsening stench, and if you're near the taps your area is likely to get pretty boggy.
And remember - water runs downhill, so if you can camp at the top of a hill, go for it. Be messy
Spread out your belongings once you've set up your tent. This will make it harder for a thief to make off with them. Be sociable
Talk to your neighbours, share your beer and cigarettes, clear up your rubbish and be considerate in terms of noise. The campers next to you might want to sleep, even if you don't.
And don't put a rope or barrier around your tent(s). It's very annoying and anti-social! Watch your money
Keep it with you, split it up into various amounts around your body, in safe places. That way, you haven't lost it all if you get pick-pocketed.
Remember - back pockets are useless. Get cosy with your valuables
To avoid having your stuff nicked at night, sleep with your wallet and valuables at the bottom of your sleeping bag, inside. Prepare yourself for getting cut off
Your mobile phone may die. Make your peace with it.
But to conserve battery turn it off at night or when you're with all your friends, and don't rely on text messages getting through. Go old school and make plans to meet up with people at set places and times. Forget the fashion show
No matter how much you might want to, you cannot spend three or four days at a festival and pull off the Kate Moss look. Instead, stick with something warm/waterproof, sturdy boots, sunglasses and a hat. Don't follow a plan
Of course you'll want to make sure you don't miss your favourite band, but aside from that, be carefree.
Some of the best moments of a festival are the times you stumble across a new band or a random food stall. The beauty of Glastonbury is there's no shortage of weird and wonderful things to do and see. Go explore.
