A KNOWN cannabis smoker was found in possession of the Class B drug after police raided his Cheltenham home.
Patrick Bernard Senior Curran pleaded guilty to possession of £20 of herbal cannabis following the raid.
The 53-year-old builder, who lost his job, last week admitted to police that he had "a bit" of the drug following the raid on May 24.
Curran, of Stanwick Drive in Swindon Village, Cheltenham, had just completed a drug rehabilitation requirement when the drugs were found.
Cheltenham Magistrates' Court gave Curran a nine-month conditional discharge in response to the crime.
He was also ordered to pay £45 costs and £15 victim surcharge.
