POLICE descended en masse to a property in Vauxhall Road today after reports of a man and a woman suffering serious, possible life threatening injuries.
Three police cars and two ambulances were on the scene within minutes of a 999 distress call made to emergency services at around 10.15am.
Two air ambulances were called, ready to land in Myers Road and Glocuester Park, but were not needed to transport the victims.
One helicopter dropped in a critical care trauma specialist from Bristol to help treat the casualties.
Both victims are understood to have stab wounds and have been taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment.
A man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident, however they are appealing for witnesses.
