GLOUCESTER duo Elliott Stooke and Ross Moriarty helped England fend off potent New Zealand to reach the Junior World Championship final.
England avenged their 2011 final defeat to the Baby Blacks, edging home 33-21 in a performance underpinned by brutal defence.
Kingsholm academy lock Stooke and flanker Moriarty will now gear up for Sunday's final, against Wales.
The Welsh sneaked past tournament favourites and title holders South Africa 18-17.
The Northern Hemisphere head-to-head throws up an intriguing battle between the sons of two Gloucester coaches.
Rugby director Nigel Davies' son Sam leads the Wales line at fly-half, while England back-rower Ross Moriarty is the son of Gloucester defence coach Paul.
England claimed three tries in their defeat of much-fancied New Zealand, with 19-year-old Moriarty once again to the fore with a strong performance.
Imposing lock Stooke helped tie things together, but picked up a knock in the second-half and will be battling to be fit in time for Sunday's final at Stade de la Rabine in Vannes (kick-off 5.45pm BST).
Ospreys playmaker Davies will be looking to direct Wales to victory though, after turning the tide late on against South Africa. Wales trailed the Baby Boks by six points with five minutes remaining, but then Davies junior pulled off a fine crossfield kick to send Ashley Evans in for a try.
He still had to land the pressure conversion to win the match though, and he duly confirmed Wales' one-point victory.
Neither side has lifted the Junior World Championship, though England fell 33-22 to New Zealand in 2011, despite two tries from Christian Wade.
Sunday's final will be a repeat of the Under-20s Six Nations title decider from earlier this season, when England denied Wales the Grand Slam with a 28-15 victory in Colwyn Bay.
