A dog walker was robbed by a bandana wearing thief in Tredworth High Street over the weekend.
He was approached by the man at about 11pm on Saturday, June 15, as he crossed the Dynevor Street side road.
The man started walking on the road alongside the victim and asked him what he had in his pockets. He then punched the victim in the face, told him he had a knife and threatened to use it on the victim and his dogs.
The victim handed over his wallet before the robber snatched his mobile phone as well. He then ran off in the direction of Tredworth Road.
Officers are urging people to get in contact if they witnessed the incident or saw the robber, who is described as white, in his late teens, wearing a plain grey hooded top with a black bandana across the lower half of his face and black woollen gloves.
The victim was left with facial swelling and redness from the attack.
