A BUMPER sale, live music and refreshments will celebrate 20 years of Emmaus' charity shop in Nailsworth.

Emmaus Gloucestershire had planned the special day on Saturday to say thank you to all the people who had provided such loyal support to the shop over the years, its chief executive Addie Stevenson said.

"Their generous donations and purchases have helped us to provide meaningful work and a home for hundreds of formerly homeless people," Addie said.

"Over the years the shop has been staffed mainly by committed and long-serving volunteers."

The celebration will run from 10am to 4pm and, at 1.30pm, a competition will be drawn to name cows bought for Emmaus' village in India.

Emmaus is financially self-supporting.
