GLOUCESTER duo Elliott Stooke and Ross Moriarty will fight for a place in the Junior World Championship final tonight.

The Kingsholm academy pair will start for England Under-20s against New Zealand in Vannes (kick-off 7.45pm BST).

Despite narrowly losing out to reigning champions South Africa in Pool A England managed to sneak through to the semi-finals with a tournament-record 109-0 hammering of the USA.

Nick Walshe's side racked up 17 tries in their America demolition, with back-rower Moriarty plundering two scores in another eye-catching performance.

South Africa will take on Wales in the corresponding last-four clash, and England will be gunning to meet the winners of that clash in Sunday night's final.

Lock Stooke sat out the USA obliteration, but is recalled for tonight's contest at Stade de la Rabine, underlining his importance to the side.

Moriarty claims his third-straight start, having forced himself into a first-choice role during the course of the tournament.

England will take on the Baby Blacks for the first time since the 2011 Junior World Championship final, when New Zealand won out 33-22.

While Walshe's men had to squeeze through to the last four as the best-performing runner-up in the group stages, they will not be overly perturbed by taking on New Zealand.

The Kiwis are always formidable opponents, but they had to fight for slender victories over Australia and Ireland.

New Zealand edged past the Wallabies 14-10, and Ireland 31-26, to add to a straightforward win over Fiji.

England pushed South Africa all the way in their battling 31-24 defeat to the Baby Boks, making light of several early wobbles to blast right back into the contest in the second-half.

And now they will be hoping to go one better against Southern Hemisphere opposition tonight, to book that coveted final spot.

ENGLAND UNDER-20S: J Nowell, A Watson, H Sloan, S Hill, B Howard, H Slade, A Day, D Hobbs-Awoyemi, L Cowan-Dickie, S Wilson, E Stooke, D Barrow, R Moriarty, M Hankin, J Clifford (capt). Replacements: S Spurling, A Hepburn, T Smallbone, T Price, D Sisi, C Braley, O Devoto, H Purdy.
