BUNGLING signwriters have accidentally invented a new area of Gloucester.
While directing motorists to the new Railway Triangle Retail Park, Barnwood and Abbeydale, it also sends them straight on to "Abbeywood" – it should be Abbeymead.
Abbey city and county councillor Andrew Gravells said: "This is clearly a mistake and will have to be put right. Somebody somewhere needs to go to Specsavers so they don't make the mistake again."
A council spokesman said: "This is an unfortunate error and we apologise for the inconvenience to drivers. We will speak to our suppliers and replace it."
