CELEBRITY chefs Antonio Carluccio and Gennaro Contaldo stood out from the crowd at Cheltenham's Food and Drink Festival.
The pair from BBC's Two Greedy Italians enjoyed perusing dozens of stalls at the event in Montpellier Gardens, sampling more than a few of the tasty treats on offer. Gennaro, the right-hand man of Jamie Oliver, who owns Jamie's Italian, said the pair were thoroughly enjoying the sights and smells at the annual showpiece.
"I love coming to Cheltenham," he said.
"The people here are fantastic and they know how to enjoy their food."
Tempting aromas wafted through Montpellier, with anything from jerk chicken sizzling on the barbecue to Indian street food provided by restaurant Curry Corner.
As well as savoury snacks, there were sweet treats on offer including homemade cakes, fudge and 'churros' – sugar-coated doughnut twists popular in Spain. And there was no shortage of tipples on offer either, with beers and ciders from across the UK.
Daniel Pinkley, 42, said: "The wonderful smells alone are enough to make you hungry."
