A BIG baby which will grow into one of the world's largest birds is charming International Centre for Birds of Prey staff and visitors.
Andean Condor, called Taransay, was hatched at the Clifford's Mesne, Newent centre around seven weeks ago and already outweighs a pair of eagles. The new world vulture is classed as "near threatened" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, and the centre will hand rear her before breeding from her too.
