Firefighters from Gloucestershire have been called out to a workshop fire in Gorsley.
At 6.25pm last night Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service received a call to a fire at Quarry Lane, Gorsley near Newent.
One appliance from Newent Fire Station and one appliance from Cinderford attended the incident with 12 firefighters and watch commander Richard Waite in charge. As this incident was slightly over the county border in Hereford and Worcester, two appliances and a water carrier from Ross on Wye were also mobilised.
On arrival crews found a two storey workshop 20m x 20m well alight and were using two hosereels and two breathing apparatus to fight the fire. Following a request from crews on scene the specialist incident support unit from Gloucester North Fire Station was mobilised to provide extra lighting.
Crews have also requested for a further water carrier to be mobilised which has been sent from Cheltenham East Fire station.
Crews used three ground monitors and one jet to extinguish the fire and cool an acetylene cylinder.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue appliances were a total of four hours 30 minutes. Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue remained at the incident through the night damping down.
